The brief
The client wanted to refresh the rendered exterior and improve its overall appearance without overcomplicating the job. The goal was a cleaner finish, better presentation and a coating system suited to an exposed residential surface.
The existing render showed the kind of uneven and tired appearance that makes preparation especially important. A new colour coat alone would not have addressed areas where the surface first needed attention.
The work
This job started with the usual exterior discipline: inspect the surface, prepare thoroughly, and only then move into the coating system. Time spent on preparation makes the visible difference later, especially on rendered elevations where poor prep shows quickly.
We repaired and prepared the surface, then repainted the render and front-facing elements to create a more even, brighter finish. The updated frontage now reads as one clean scheme instead of a patchwork of tired areas.
Exterior work also depends on suitable conditions for the preparation and coating stages. The sequence was kept focused on producing a sound, consistent finish rather than rushing visible paint onto areas that were not ready.
The outcome
The finished exterior feels sharper, lighter, and much better maintained. The refreshed render and coordinated details give the property a more consistent appearance from the front.
It is the kind of project that photographs well, but more importantly it improves the first impression of the property and leaves the exposed surfaces with a properly prepared painted finish.
